Hi, The current state of play is a standalone combined oven and hob supplied by single cooker circuit with 40A RCBO, 6mm cable, isolated by cooker control switch and the unit is hardwired to cooker connection unit.
The plans are to change to built in oven and separate hob. The supply demands are not changing drastically so the installation needs no alterations apart from the new oven is fitted and protected by 13A plug and the new hob needs to be hardwired.
My thoughts are to extend the circuit leaving the connection unit in place for the hob and add a single 13A socket or FCU for the oven.
What are your thoughts? Is this reasonable?
Thanks in advance.
