Hi,

I have a new Job starting tomorrow on Conveyor Systems its my first time working on them.
I was just wondering if anyone on here can tell me exactly what to expect with the install of Conveyors on A distribution Warehouse.

I have an idea of what to expect but if someone has previously worked on them that would be a great help to help me prepare.

Many Thanks
- Sam

Lost count of the number of jobs I have taken on without knowing much about what to expect, you will soon get the idea from the older hands, I'm sure, good luck, unless of course, you told porkies at the interview.

I would imagine a lot of VFD motors and PLC I / O is what you will find.

Can you reading electrical drawings ok? If not, time to brush up!

When I did conveyor systems some 30 years ago (car factory), it wasn’t that complicated. Trunking runs, local control panels, motors. All wired in singles, to main control panels, which had simple PC’s, don’t you know. Drawings telling you what wires to run where. So not that hard.

I suspect things have moved on in 30 years, but the basics will be the same.
