I think you might need to elaborate. Where are you measuring 56v and earth leakage
I've had it for years. But this isn't the only device I charged a metal torch and the torch casing also become live. I can feel the voltage it's enough for you to want to move your hand away. At the Weekend I will take it apartWhere did you get the charger from?
Yes it is. Not sure of the brand. I will find out this weekend when I dismantleIs this a 13A mains socket with USB outlet integrated into it? If so what brand?
Yeah seems that way. I just got home the socket is an MK Which is very surprising. Technically the voltage is above what would be considered dangerous, I will update with some pictures over the weekendSounds like it isn't fully isolating the mains side.
I have done ThanksStop using the socket and get it replaced ASAP.

Possibly I will have a look at this. It will be interesting to find out what's allowing the voltage through. I might also contact MK to ask if they come across this problemCan you test the integrity of the earthing connection?
