Has anybody else checked this out, makes for a fantastic read in the electrical section! There's a good evening entertainment there! The first post I clicked was as follows...

Changing a fuse board....from an un-named, old fashioned fuseboard, with fuse wires to an updated board.

What are the complications? This is within my own home, but me being a domestic installer and NOT a qualified electrician, I just really want to know...

i) is it realistic for me to take on

ii) I'm not really wanting to re-wire the whole house, although this could be a possibility as it's the old coloured wires.

iii) Will I have to alter the tails? Hopefully there's enough wires from the circuits to go into the new fuseboard, if I don't do a whole re-wire.

Cheers
Scott
